Dental Implants
For many years till now, the only options for missing teeth were bridges and removable dentures but now we have dental implants. These implants replace the roots of the missing tooth/teeth and a crown is screwed into the implant. The implant is placed in the gums of the patient and this requires a minor surgical procedure.
The biggest advantage of dental implants over bridges is that the supporting teeth remain intact and trimming of these teeth is not required as in bridges. We advise dental implants after careful consideration of the surrounding bones and gums.
